This was a really special baptism for me...my friend Jake who I have walked with for sometime now through good times and difficult times with the Lord decided to give his entire life to Christ on Sunday, demonstrating this by being baptized! We did it right before it went dark, it was awesome! It is was so sweet too because right before I was taking him under God sent this good size wave that almost knocked me completely over as I was lowering him...his Father was excited for this day!
Welcome to our blog! Join us in prayer as we labor to see His glory come in our city.

IV Adventure Crew
Each Saturday people meet at the DP House at 2pm and from 2pm till about 6pm they have been going on different adventures in nature…hikes, bike rides, etc. – it is great seeing people connect and enjoy His creation together!
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20)

My chains are gone, I have been set free...
Within the last month Sarah gave her life to Jesus Christ...she has been wanting to get baptized so we did it on Monday around 7pm. It is such a beautiful thing to watch someone unite their life with His!
"If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin - because anyone who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God." (Romans 6:5-10)

Family Time - Anisq'Oyo' Park
This last Saturday the family went to Anisq'Oyo' Park, which is located in the middle of IV – surprisingly, being a college town, there are several good parks throughout the city for the kids to play at. The two older munchkins had a great time rolling down the grass hill, chasing ducks, and sliding down the slides.

Easter Weekend - He has risen!
“The angel said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen,” (Matthew 28:5-6)
He is not on the cross, He is not in the grave, He has risen indeed!
Easter weekend was awesome! Saturday evening we had people over to help decorate eggs and share life together…the kids absolutely loved it; however, the adults might have loved it more…the verdict is still out.

Sunrise Service
Breakfast & Easter Egg Hunt
After the sunrise service we invited everyone back to our house for breakfast and an Easter egg hunt for adults...and yes for Samuel, Hope, and a few other little ones too. But truth be told, mainly it was for the adults.
It was a great time of fellowship, eating together, and watching some competitive older people try to win the egg hunt, which included prizes. Ah, it was a blast! Holly and I are so thankful to serve God in IV and be a part of the family He has brought together. The weekend was glorious and Jesus was for sure celebrated amongst us!
* the last picture cracks me up - it looks like they are calling upon God to be led by the Spirit to all the hidden eggs...who knows, maybe they were??? ha, ha

New Life
These pictures are of a guy named Matt who got baptized a month or so ago…his story is amazing, from his family history to his own journey outside the home here at UCSB – only the irresistible grace of God could woo someone like Matt into the kingdom of God. Matt said in my shed the other day that this is the happiest he has been since junior high – glory to God! Please be praying for our brother as he learns to walk each day with Jesus.
